All About Us, About Me, and How About Marketing
About Us? - It's all about Marketing... ... and how a
website helps your market!
My name is Jerry V. That's right, just V, and stands for Valladares, a
Spanish name, a name impossible to pronounce, spell or remember for English
spoken people. They shortened it to Jerry V years ago. (They always ask me how
to spell it). I live in Atlanta, Georgia, but originally from the
beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I am a real estate investor and I will love to
tell you how my websites help me get leads every week.
I get asked from other investors, "how do you get so many leads from
motivated sellers to your website?". My answer to them is always the same -
"Generate Traffic"
A common problem, and one that I have faced many times myself,
along with other setbacks is how to stay consistent with my websites'
information. I solved the problems, I overcame the setbacks, and so can
you. How? Read my story...
A Setback - or a Blessing in
Disguise
One of my biggest passions is to help people and especially real
estate investors that are just starting in the business. At the same time a 9 -
5 {{JOB}} had always held me back accomplishing these goals. Well as a network
administrator those hours changed to 5 AM to 10 PM.
I have been working as a computer network engineer for
more than 20 years and I've decided that was time for a change. In 2003, I
started attending several REIA
groups
(Real Estate Investor Associations) in Atlanta and started learning
about how to buy and sell houses without using my own money or credit. I started
implementing every step I learned but it wasn't enough.
In 2005, at one of the Atlanta IRCA meetings, Ron Legrand came in and made a
presentation about how to turn real estate quickly and with little or no
money down. He provided a great presentation and I end up going to the 5-Day
Quick Turn Real Estate School Bootcamp. This call changed my life as the
learning process accelerated 10 times fold.
It turned out that getting into this bootcamp was the best thing that I've
invested in.
Needles to say, I have become a successful real estate entrepreneur and I
continue teaching real estate investors to avoid the mistakes I've made in the
past.
One day at one of my REIA meetings , I was telling another investor how I was getting 5 to 10 leads
per week and the president of the REIA overheard our conversation. He wanted to
know how I did it and put me in front of the audience that day and had me
explain what I was doing to get leads from my website
.
The 5 minutes talk became a success to everyone, and I
end up later doing a 2 hours presentation on how to improve and increase traffic
to my website SellAtlantaHouse.com
which I still own and working great! By the way I
forgot to mention, I know nothing (as of today) about how to create a web site.
I will tell you further how I resolved this problem.
I've been called to several REIA's to make presentations
on how to improve and increase traffic to a website without spending a fortune.
I've also been provided with the opportunity to run our own REIA subgroup in
North East Atlanta (North Metro REIA - Gwinnett subgroup
) with the help of John Hitson, another
successful entrepreneur and real estate investor.
Today, I do marketing in real estate investment seminars to different small
groups and I always redirect investors to my website so they can learn at their
own pace, these essentials and tools to improve their visibility in the world
wide web.
"Do just once what others say you can't do, and you will never pay attention
to their limitations again." James R. Cook
I set myself a new goal:
I decided not carry back my job and I have set myself a goal. The goal is to
retire from my JOB in May of 2011. Why did I pick this day?? It's My 45th
birthday!!! And I will celebrate BIG TIME!!!
Sounds unrealistic? I assure you, it's not. If I learned one thing in life
it's that nothing is impossible! Think about your life. What is it that you
really want from it? And turn off the little voice that keeps saying, "It can't
be done." It can.
The solution... ...is so simple, I wonder why it took me so many years to
find it: Make a living doing what you love! You can. I'll show you how I'm doing
it.
My passion is teaching marketing to real estate entrepreneurs, but you can do
what I'm doing with any passion, hobby, skill, area of expertise... whatever it
is that makes you happy. And you can do it in your spare time!
First I tried my hand at real estate writing. English is
my second language and I quickly realized that I wouldn't be earning a living as
a writer any time soon. But I had owned a computer for my writing since IBM PC's
are existing. I discovered the internet, and somehow, I don't even remember how,
I stumbled across SBI!
SBI stands for Site Build It! and helps you to turn any hobby, passion or
skill into a viable online business. You probably don't even realize that almost
any topic can make money with a website.
Build a website? Exactly! Remember, I was relatively new to the internet
world. Did I mention that I know nothing about how to create a website?
This website was built with SBI, so you see... anyone can do it.
"Never be afraid to try something new;
remember amateurs built the ark, professionals built the
Titanic."
You need no programming skills or web design
knowledge, no business and no product to sell. Just bring your brain and
motivation. SBI has all the tools you need, and they take you by the hand and
teach you step by step how to use everything
.
They help you find the perfect topic for your site, to build it, to get
traffic to it, and then they even teach you how to make money with it, no matter
what it is about!
Have a look at the Video Tour to get an idea of how it works
(or the Quick Tour
if you're on dial up).
And have a look at this: hundreds of successful SBI websites , built by normal
people like you and me. All these sites are in the top 1% of the most successful
sites on the web. (You can find my site in the travel category.)
You can also see that there is a staggering variety of topics that people
have turned into profitable websites with SBI.
I started the very website you are on right now in May 2008, so far and
shortly after a few months I am so encouraged by the results I'm seen that I've
decided to include it in my marketing presentations. And all the time I'm just
writing about something I love and I am genuinely helping people. How much
better can it get?
(Actually, it can. Because I have this website all
my marketing presentations trips and expenses are tax deductible...)
Yes, in the beginning this is a lot of work. But keep in mind that doing
something you love never feels like work. And you can do it in your spare time.
YOU set the pace.
The main thing is, it's totally risk free. SBI has a full money back
guarantee. They're happy for you to try it out to see how you like it.
How do I make money? At the moment mostly with advertising. You probably saw
the links throughout the site that say "Ads by Goooogle". Every time someone is
interested and clicks on one I make money.
There are countless other ways to make money with a
website: create your own egoods to sell, sell other people's products for a commission, get paid for leads and referrals, and
more. SBI shows you how to do all that.
You can get some more ideas from what other SBIers are
doing. Just have a look at the case
studies
.
People always email me to tell me how inspired they are by my story, and how
they wish they could do something like that: escape the 9 to 5 drudgery, travel
to Oz or see the world, do what they have always been dreaming of...
Well, you can, so what are you waiting for?
"100% of the shots you don't take don't go in." Wayne Gretzky
You only have one life. Make the most of
it.
Try SBI - because if I can do this, you can!
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you
didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from
the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.
Discover." Mark Twain
P.S.: It's been a few months that I wrote this page, and it has generated
a stunning amount of feedback and of questions about SBI. I figured it's time to
add an update and answers to your most common questions.
